Improve Production & Reduce Cost

By identifying cost effective, high-quality suppliers, you can improve your bottom line by detecting quality raw materials and reduce scrap and rework.  A sophisticated receiving inspection system includes skip-lot, sampling plan, traceability, electronic and workflow-oriented MRB.  Nonconformances are tracked and can be escalated to a closed-loop CAPA system.

 

Online Inspection Plans and Procedures

Inspection Management is fully integrated with Pilgrim’s Document Management system to ensure the most current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and drawings for receiving inspection activities are available online.  It also has been designed to integrate with other document management systems to achieve the same level of integration.  Additionally, inspection plans outlining the criteria to inspect supplied materials can be set up in the system.  Among these criteria are various types of sampling plans (ANDI/ASQ standards such as C = O and Z1.4), Acceptable Quality Level (AQL), attribute characteristics, measurable characteristics, checklist items and others.  These inspection/quality plans containing these criteria can be routed for approvals through the appropriate personnel.

 

Integrated Receiving and Inspection Systems

Inspection Management is integrated with Pilgrim’s Audit Management system to pre-qualify suppliers prior to purchasing and receiving goods.  This information helps determine the effectiveness of your supplier base and is used to view non-approved suppliers and those suppliers receiving fail/conditional audit results.  Moreover, Inspection Management allows you to prevent out-of-spec supplied materials from entering your production environment.  Its sophisticated sampling plan determines whether received lots need to be inspected (skip lot inspection capabilities).  Additionally, it automatically reduces or increases inspection sample size based on past inspection results.  This integration and sophisticated inspection system saves you money and time and takes the guesswork out of purchasing.

Inspection Management’s reporting capabilities provide Pareto and trending visibility.  Inspection Management solution lets you create user defined choices for reporting, graphing and security functions based on specific inspection items.  Reports can be generated from the various data stored in Inspection Management.  As a result, problems are detected and trends are identified so that you can make the right business and supplier management decisions.

 

Security and Regulatory Requirements

With role-based securities and powerful password authentication, Inspection Management will ensure the security of your data without the heavy administrative burden associated with individual user security.  A complete audit trail, combined with electronic signature and electronic records, facilitates compliance with 21 CFR Part 11.
